and the hand that shapes it
For more than thirty years, Aggelos Panayiotidis has devoted his work to sculpture in bronze and copper. Each olive tree is born in the family studio, which his son Filippos joined in 2019: the metal is cast by the lost-wax process, the foliage is then welded leaf by leaf, and finally the tree receives its hot patina.
Bronze cannot be copied from one piece to the next. The wax is destroyed in the pour, the welding follows the hand, and the patina reacts to the flame: two trees born of the same gesture never share the same branches or the same colour. This is what makes each sculpture a work apart, signed and accompanied by its certificate of authenticity.

Artistic journey
For more than thirty years, Aggelos Panayiotidis has devoted his work to sculpture in bronze and copper, developing a singular artistic world around the olive tree — a symbol of peace, wisdom and longevity. In 2019 his son Filippos Panayiotidis formally joined the family studio, carrying this legacy forward with a contemporary approach. Together they create works that combine tradition, innovation and technical mastery.
Works & collections
Their monumental sculpture “Olive Tree – Athens' Tree”, created for the Athens 2004 Olympic Games, has become the emblematic work of their career. Permanently installed at Technopolis in Athens, it is also represented at the headquarters of the International Olympic Committee in Lausanne. Their sculptures now belong to private collections, institutions, prestigious hotels, exceptional residences and architectural projects around the world.
